Fight The Good Fight Of Faith To Obtain Eternal Life With Christ.

Fight The Good Fight Of Faith To Obtain Eternal Life With Christ.

1
Timothy 6:12 (NASB) says

Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and for which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

BE
WELL BALANCED AND SELF-DISCIPLINED

1 Peter 5:8 (AMP) says
Be
sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at
all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a
roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.”

BE ALERT AND CAUTIOUS

Lions attack sick, young, or
struggling animals. They choose victims who are alone or not alert.
Here we are warned to watch out for Satan when we are suffering or
being persecuted. Feeling alone, weak, helpless and cut off from
other believers, so focused on our troubles that we forget to watch
for danger, we are especially vulnerable to Satan’s attacks.

1 Peter 5:9 (AMP) says
But
resist him, be firm in your faith [against his attack—rooted,
established, immovable], knowing that the same experiences of
suffering are being experienced by your brothers and sisters
throughout the world. [You do not suffer alone.]”

RESIST THE DEVIL

During
times of suffering, seek other Christians for support (but, be
careful who you choose). Keep your eyes on Christ, and resist the
devil. Then, “he will flee from you”.
James
4:7

GOD
WILL COMPLETE YOU

1 Peter 5:10 (AMP) says
After
you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who
imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal
glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and
establish you [making you what you ought to be].”

YOUR SUFFERING WILL END

When we are suffering, we often feel
as though our pain will never end. In comparison to eternity, our
suffering lasts only for a little while. Some of us will be
strengthened and delivered in our own lifetime. Others of us will be
released from our suffering only through death.

WE ARE ASSURED OF ETERNAL LIFE WITH
CHRIST

Revelation
21:4 (NIV) says

He
will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or
mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed
away.”

Remember,
all of God’s faithful followers are assured of an eternal life with
Christ where there will be no more tears or suffering.
