5 Keys To Answered Prayer.
The Power of Prayer
Some things come to pass only through prayer, and without prayer, certain events may never occur. Prayer is not just a spiritual discipline—it is a powerful tool that invites God’s intervention in our lives.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 says:
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
5 Keys to Answered Prayer
To see your prayers answered, certain conditions must be met. Here are the five keys to answered prayer:
1. Pray to God the Father in the Name of Jesus Christ
The name of Jesus carries authority. We are instructed to ask in His name, which glorifies the Father.
- John 14:13:“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
- John 15:16:“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”
- John 16:23:“Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.”
2. Pray in Keeping with God’s Will
Prayer aligned with God’s will ensures His response.
- 1 John 5:14-15:“If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—we know that we have what we asked of Him.”
3. Pray in Faith
Faith is essential to connect with God and see His promises fulfilled.
- Hebrews 11:6:“Without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
4. Have No Unforgiveness in Your Heart
Unforgiveness can block your prayers. Forgive others as God forgives you.
- Matthew 6:12-15:“For if you forgive others when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
5. Confess and Renounce Your Sin
Unconfessed sin separates us from God. Repentance restores our connection to Him.
- Isaiah 59:1-2:“Your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.”
- Luke 13:5:“Unless you repent, you too will all perish.”
- 2 Corinthians 7:10:“Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.”
Final Thoughts
Sometimes, all it takes is one heartfelt prayer to change everything. When you don’t know what to do, PRAY. Seek God with sincerity, humility, and faith, and trust that He will move in His perfect timing.
Remember: Prayer is not just an act of faith—it’s a lifeline to the Creator of the universe!
