Now You Can Pray Directly To God – No Priest Required!

A New Day Has Dawned

By: Bill and Teddy Rogers

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.”
Hebrews 10:19-23

A new era has begun for all believers! Through Jesus Christ, we are given direct access to God—a privilege that was once reserved for priests. Now, every believer is a priest with the ability to commune personally with God.

Only One Way

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6

Jesus is the only way to God. Through His sacrifice on the cross and our faith in Him, we are made acceptable before the Father.

Although some may argue that having only one way to God is restrictive, it is actually a profound blessing: a clear, guaranteed path to eternal life! Instead of questioning its narrowness, let us rejoice and say, “Thank you, God, for providing a sure way!”

We Are Adopted as Children of God

When we accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, we are adopted into God’s family. This means we are:

  • Accepted in the beloved: God views us as His own children, just as He sees His Son, Jesus.
  • Joint heirs with Christ: Sharing in the same inheritance as the Son of God.

What a glorious truth! God welcomes us into His family and invites us to approach Him in Jesus’ name.

Pray in the Name of Jesus

When we pray in Jesus’ name, we acknowledge that our access to God is only through the sacrifice of Christ. This isn’t a magical phrase—it’s a recognition of our dependence on Jesus’ authority and grace.

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
John 14:12-14

God answers prayers that align with His character and will. If we sincerely seek His will, our prayers will naturally reflect His desires, and we can trust His timing in granting our requests.

Jesus Chose You

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”
John 15:16

Jesus made the first move—choosing to love, die for, and invite us into a relationship with Him. The next step is ours: to accept or reject His invitation.

A New Relationship with God

“In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.”
John 16:23

Thanks to Jesus’ death and resurrection, the barriers between us and God are removed. We can now approach God directly in prayer and relationship. Hallelujah!

Have You Talked to God Today?

Take a moment to pray and thank God for:

  • His sacrifice through Jesus Christ.
  • The privilege of direct access to Him.
  • His unwavering faithfulness and love.

A new day has dawned. Let’s live in the fullness of our relationship with God!
